The Black Flower is first depicted in the Utahime Five manga as a giant, black mass with multiple arms extending out from its core which eventually forms into a giant floating flower.

This black entity somehow has the ability to reconstruct the severed limbs of the defeated Intoners when they are brutally killed by the Lords of the Land. Once reconstructed, the girls have no individual cognitive thought as they summon their respective Watchers. One was able to break free from the entity before it was eventually defeated by Zero and Michael.

It was sealed behind the Mercurius Gate by an unknown inhabitant of the Cathedral City due to the threat it posed to the world. It is presumed that a portion of this entity escaped before being completely sealed away and later infected Zero's body.
