Soldier is a recurring enemy encountered within the Drakengard series.


Soldiers in Drakengard are human knights that are possessed by the Cult of the Watchers and serve the Empire. Throughout the game they are seen in tight formations and attack in groups. The Empire employeed many soldiers of all ages and races, giving them a wide variety of classes in there ranks.

Silver Soldiers

The silver soldiers are the most basic of the enemies, with no special skills or armor enhancements.

The crimson soldiers are special class of soldier that wear magic repelling armor.

Drakengard 2

Soldiers in Drakengard 2 are member of the Knights of the Seal and usually only employ humans. Unlike the Empire who seeked conquest, the Knights only seek to keep order among the lands and do not require overwhelming forces.

Drakengard 3

In Drakengard 3, the soldiers are comprised of five different varieties hailing respectively from different lands. Depending on the location, Zero and her sisters may encounter soldiers indigenous to that area. The soldiers interact with each other in numerous ways depending on which Intoner they encounter, with Zero usually being the one to candidly reply to their passing statements.

  • In Five's Prologue, it is revealed that some of the soldiers are female, yet masculine. Despite Five's carnal rule of never harming women or children, she makes an exception for these female soldiers because of their lack of feminine features.
